Gro Lovdahl

After her viola studies in Norwegian academy of music, she continued in France and Dortmund Germany and studied with professor Nobuko Imai.

As a performer she has been concentrating in Solo- and Chamber music performances as well as combination of the tow and also related to other art forms.. Her musical repertory includes a vast field from the baroque, classical to contemporary and improvisation music.

She has been participating in several festivals as a soloist and along with chamber orchestras. Some to mention; West Cork Chamber-music Festival (Ireland), Savannah Music Festival (USA), Alder-burgh Festival (UK), Festspillene i Bergen and ULTIMA. Løvdahl worked as soloist for the swedish chamber orchestra, and performed with Deutshe chamber philharmonic Bremen, Detmold chamber orchestra and the Norwegian Chamber orchestra.

She has collaborated with world well known musicians an artists like, Daniel Hope, Kristian Bezeunhof, Slobodan Fio, Katharina Andreasson, Savina Yannatou, Karen Foss, Vigdis Hjorth, Jo Eggen, Lars Saabye Christensen, Henrik Hellstenius, Cecilie Lindeman Steen, Jean Pierre Drouet, Georges Aperghis and Christopher Poppen.
